TP006 – Corrosion Performance and Field Experience with Super Duplex and Super Austenitic Stainless steels in FGD Systems

This paper gives a good overview of the traditional flue gas desulphurisation process and the challenges it poses on material selection. Looking across a range of test results the Alloy S32520 (Industeel 52N+) appears to provide the best combination of corrosion resistance and strength – supporting the use of Ferralium^® in this application due to the similarity in specification.
